I’m Cristina Muffatti, a leadlight artist creating one-of-a-kind stained glass pieces from my studio in Melbourne.

My work sits somewhere between art, design and traditional craft. I’m drawn to the way light can transform colour, texture and pattern — and to the character that comes from making something by hand.

For me, leadlight isn't simply about recreating a traditional style. It’s a way of bringing colour, texture and storytelling into an architectural space.

Working on a small scale allows me to be closely involved in every part of the process and to give each commission the time and attention it deserves.

I’m particularly interested in creating contemporary leadlight that feels at home in modern interiors, while still celebrating the beauty and history of the craft.
